I recently stayed at the Helen Berger Hotel in Valencia, Spain, and I must say, the shower experience alone makes it worth every penny. In fact, this shower should be a tourist attraction on its own. This hotel ruined other showers for me. Every shower since is a pale reflection of the magnificence of the Helen Berger shower. First off, the cleanliness of the shower was so impeccable, it was like stepping into a pristine operating room. You could practically eat off the tiles, though I wouldn't recommend it. The shower itself was so spacious that you could fit a Mazda Miata vertically inside it, no joke. The shower head was positioned at a height of two meters and ten centimeters with an impressive forty-centimeter diameter, providing full coverage and ensuring you get completely drenched in water. It was like standing under a miniature Niagara Falls, right in your hotel room. The water pressure was nothing short of spectacular. The stream was extremely powerful, delivering a huge volume of water. It felt like being dunked into a pool, except the pool was dunked on you. Additionally, there was a separate handheld douche with its own knob, allowing you to control its temperature and stream power independently. The handheld unit was very powerful, akin to wielding a power washer. It provided excellent control, adding to the already exceptional shower experience. Now, aside from the shower, the rest of the hotel was also quite good. The bed was comfortable, the staff were friendly, and the location was convenient. Special mention to Tonis, who helped us settle in, arranged for dinner reservations, and overall gave us a great welcome. But seriously, if you're looking for a hotel with an outstanding shower, Helen Berger is the place to be.

What a delightful treasure of a hotel. I stayed early November after travelling around Europe for 2.5 months. I stayed two nights. A gorgeous hotel, nicer than the photos, an elegant building in an elegant street. I felt ensconced in a cosy home-like atmosphere. Beautiful design flair and finishes in the lobby, cafe and room. I booked a smaller room but clever use of space. The thing that made this place so special were the people, particularly Sandra and Minerva at reception. Such kind, attentive and thoughtful people who take the craft of hospitality seriously. Nothing was too much. I felt welcome immediately. Excellent communication (e.g., offer of WhatApp to text when I needed to extend my stay an extra night unexpectedly). I had coffees and pastries in the cafe for morning tea and the space is delightful. Restaurant staff were sincere and friendly. Highly recommended! Despite the terrible events in the Valencia region, and the ways that this affected all the staff and their families, they remain so focused on guests. The historical city itself was mercifully untouched by the floods. I easily walked from the hotel to many beautiful sites as diverse as plazas with fountains, museums and the nearby excellent shopping and supermarkets.

Staying at Hotel Helen Berger in Valencia was nothing short of exceptional—this place truly felt like a home away from home. From the moment I arrived, the kindness and professionalism of the staff stood out. They went above and beyond to ensure my stay was comfortable and stress-free. The highlight of my experience was their incredible support when I faced the unexpected hassle of losing my bag. The team not only coordinated to have it fetched but also made sure it was safely delivered and placed in my room while I was at work. Their attentiveness and care were unmatched and made me feel completely at ease. The breakfast was an absolute delight—every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The restaurant was equally impressive, offering a menu full of culinary delights that showcased both local and international flavors. My room was spotless, nicely decorated and featured a charming balcony, and of course location, location, location. The thoughtful gestures, superb amenities, and warm atmosphere made my stay unforgettable. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this gem to anyone visiting Valencia!

The staff at Hotel Helen Berger is EXCELLENT. Very efficient, helpful, capable, and friendly. They really made us feel at home. Our room was well appointed, very clean and quiet. We loved the location. Off the main streets so it was quiet, but just a block or two from the main streets and "the action". Very convenient. Breakfast was excellent. A wonderful selection on the buffet and a really good selection of kitchen-prepared items such as eggs, omelets, etc. The real surprise? The hotel bar/restaurant is FANTASTIC. Wonderful serving staff, and the food was excellent. We usually don't eat in hotel restaurants because they usually aren't that good, but this one was so good we ate there two of the four nights we stayed. We love "boutique" hotels. We go out of our way to choose them. Hotel Helen Berger is one of the best we've ever stayed in. We will definitely be back, and I encourage others to give it a try as well!

We spent a total of 8 nights in the Helen and found the experience to be excellent overall. We stayed in room 305 and although small it represented a typical boutique hotel in the heart of a busy city. The location was incredible and we walked the entire city over the 8 days. The food, coffee and service overall were amazing. We had a number of small issues with the room which were fixed by the hotel on the same day and we appreciated the speed of service recovery. Tonis was a shining star of the Helen Burger hotel and its people like this who take the experience from a 4 star to a 5 star hotel. You can't put a price on this level of hospitality and I hope the management of the Helen understands just how much of a positive influence he has on everyone walking through the door!
